I live in Northern California at the top of the Sacramento Valley, and while the area is beautiful, being in the valley traps the heat like crazy! With an average temperature in the summer around 100* my town has seen highs in the 130's. There is nothing worse then climbing into your car on a hot day only to be scorched even more by the heat in the car. I have always wanted to try a windshield sunshade in hopes of finding relief. The Xshade is amazing, super easy to both install and store, its pop up design makes install happen in seconds and I'm able to store it in the side panel on my door. Its spring time now but the temperatures are already hitting mid 90's and inside my car is at least 100 by mid day. The first time I used it I was amazed with how dark it made the inside of my car! All the pictures are taken around 3pm- fully light outside but inside the car it looks like a moonless night! My camera turned on the automatic flash (seen in the mirror) because it was so dark inside my car! When I got back into my car it was at least 20* cooler- amazingly it was cooler inside the car then it was outside!! Everyone needs one of these, seriously! The silvery side not only blocks the sun rays it reflects the uv's. Unlike accordion style sunshades this one is made from a strong nylon material that doesn't flake away- and is soft to the touch! I am highly impressed with the quality of the Xshade! I received this item free for my honest review, however getting this discount in no way effected my opinion of the product.
