I have started a weight loss journey and through it I have tried a couple of hydration packs. This is one of the better ones. The pack is made from a very firm nylon material. It has strong zippers and plastic connectors. During my testing of it I open/closed the zippers several times quickly in a row and the zippers held up to this repeated use and didn't catch on the fabric like a lot of zippers do. The water bladder holds up to 70 oz (almost 9 cups) and will keep you hydrated all day. Though the arms and back of the pack are slightly padded it was a bit heavy/ pulled on my shoulders when (though with 70 oz of fluid that's to be expected)- not being really padded made it a bit uncomfortable after about a hour into my first test hike with it, as the day went on and I drank water, the bag became very comfy again. Unlike others I've tried, the mouth piece/straw doesn't leak! It's horrible to have a wet side all day because your fluid backpack has a slow drip! I LOVE that this bag has a running belt along with it!! If I'm just going to a jog around my neighborhood or around the track and I don't need to bring fluid, the belt is great for keys, phone, and my wallet and actually holds more then other running belts I've seen.
