Fight Cards, Fight Cards, Fight Cards.... Galore!

I received 3 different sets of cards World of Warcraft, Vonguard, and Magic the Gathering....

This Magic the Gathering set contains 100 cards. All are dated 1994 but I am not entirely sure which block they came from. When playing Magic the cards are rotated out rather quickly in a Standard Game, so this would not be a good stater pack. However, If you are not playing Standard MtG, you would be able to use this deck. The desk I received contains 5 foils, and 4 rares, it also came with 5 Golden Groundhog Tokens- an added bonus if you also play Golden Groundhog. Overall these cards are in really good shape considering their age! This would be a great deck to add to your collection, or to start playing non-standard MtG. I received this deck free for my honest review.

While I have played WoW online, I have not played the card game, So when I was able to get this deck for free for my honest review I jumped at the chance. While I am still learning the rules; I do know that this is a quality deck. The cards are all in like new condition and come with a pack of 80 WoW Protector Sleeves. The deck I got came with 7 foils- I am unsure of rares at this time. With the 200 cards in this deck you can easily put together a great game (stand game is 60 cards).

I have never played Vanguard but (having read the rules) it seems a bit different from other fighting/ war card games. When playing you need a deck of 50, which makes this the perfect set! The deck I received is in mint condition. It included 3 promo packs with single card in them each and a deck of 50. I could not find a date on the cards but they all seem like a newer set. The illustrations are amazingly beautiful, the anime characters really stand out. While I'm not super familiar with this card game, the deck doesn't seem to come with any specialty cards (rares/ foils). I am looking forward to learning this card game and I got a great deck free for my honest review!

Not a Net Lights

Today I should be reviewing the ActionFly 96 LED Net Mesh Lights, however, that's NOT what I received. What I got was a 100 light LED Strand. I reached out to the seller via email through tomoson.com (one of the sites I review for) and never got a response.

That being said its a great strand of lights. I don't know the brand as it came in a clear plastic bag. They are very bright and have 8 different functions. They seem to be great quality light. Though I didn't get what I ordered and buyer beware, I am happy with the lights I got. I got these at a discounted rate for my review- had I paid full price I would not be as happy!

Paw Choice Waterless Dog Shampoo

Paw Choice Dry Dog Shampoo is a brilliant product!
My dogs are constantly going outside and rolling around in who knows what and come in smelling horrible, and forget trying to bathe them every time they come in. With a 50lb, a 25lb and a 5lb dog in the house it makes the whole place smell very quickly. But thanks to Paw Choice, I have a quick and easy way to make all 3 of my fur babies smell great! Qstick Hair Remover

Simple Yet Very Effective

Being a woman I am always looking for new and inventive ways to remove unwanted body hair. So when I got the chance to review this facial hair removing QStick for a discounted rate, I was all for it. What the Qstick lacks in features it more then makes up for in functionality. Its simple design is made up of 2 plastic finger grips on each end and a spring in the middle. When I read the instructions (hold in a U shape and roll against the grain of the hair) I didn't believe it would work, but boy was I wrong! I must say that this certainly isn't a pain free way to remove hair, and unlike other reviewers I didn't get use to the "tingle".

Elephant Stud Earrings

This clever set of Elephant Earrings are a must own!

Being an Elephant lover means that my jewelry box is overflowing with elephant items, however, I have never seen such a beautiful display or clever design! These earrings feature Cubic Zirconia as the body and I think that's just swell! The mix of metal, cubic zirconia and rhinestone (eyes) add that much needed sparkle to any outfit. These earrings can be dressed up or down, and are great for everyday use! They are small studs- 2.6 x 2.5 x 1.5 making them light on the ears- I can wear them all day without noticing or feeling my ears weighed down. The earrings come on an earring card and in a cute box so gifting is made easy! Being in my early 30's I'm just starting to notice signs of wrinkles around my eyes and mouth. Even a few years ago, I really didn't think that I would care about wrinkles or gray hairs, but now that there here - I'm sad! I believed that my youthful skin days where a thing of the past until I got to try this product free for my honest review. I have only been using the EGF Serum for a little more then a week now and am already seeing some amazing results! The wrinkles on my forehead and around my eyes are starting to look see pronounced and much to my delight I was carded today when buying a bottle of wine. Salt & Pepper Grinders w/ bonus shakers

I love the smell of freshly ground pepper- There's nothing better then grabbing the pepper mill and adding flavor to my meals. So when my $50 grinder stopped working I was heart broken! (Let me say here that my husband is a chef so the more he can spend on a kitchen item, the better it must be....) Luckily I was able to purchase these at a discounted rate for my honest review! That being said for the price this set is WELL worth it! This set of 2 Grinders and 2 Shakers is wonderful! The grinders work better then my expensive broken one! The grinders are also adjustable so you can have as coarse or fine as you like! The grinders are really large, so you don't have to fill them as often! This set of 4 are clear glass with stainless steal tops making them look as good as they work.

Add some #sparkle to your life with this ravishing bracelet! I have big hands and wrists, so finding bracelets that actually fix (and go over my hands) and look good was something I gave up on long ago. I got the chance to review this bracelet at a discounted rate for my honest review and I thought I'd give bracelets one last try. I am thrilled that this stretches making putting it on and taking it off super easy. I feared that it would pinch and am very pleased that it doesn't its very comfortable for all day wear. The rhinestones shine great and catch the light adding a bit of sparkle to any outfit. I do recommend putting some clear nail polish on the inside BEFORE wearing- it left my wrist green on the first day.

Heart Necklace

Every girl needs a little #blingbling in their life and This stunning heart pendent is a wonderful addition to my jewelry box! The Swarovski crystals sparkle in any light, and the double heart design add a bit of drama to your neckline. The heart pendant measures .65" on a 16' chain. I had to add an extender as I like my necklaces to hang a bit lower, but other then that I can't say anything bad about this beautiful necklace. It comes in a very nice display hinged box, perfect for gift giving. I received this at a discounted rate for my honest review.

Windowpix

The Widowpix comes in a tube mailer and requires you to flatten it before use. I put mine under the mattress for a few hours. Once flat its super easy to install. Clean your window, Wet down the window, and slowly peel the backing and apply it to your window. My package did not include a smoothing tool so I used a credit card to get the air bubbles out. Once applied it looked great. I ordered the Solar Geometric Pattern, it was NOT see through from inside or out (which is what I wanted). However within 10 minutes of putting it up it started to peel away from the window. I fixed the bottom part and left the house for about an hour. When I got back the entire thing was hanging off the window. I peeled the entire cling and started over, again within an hour it was peeling off the window again. I have put up MANY window clings in my days as a fast food manager and have never had an issue with them falling down. I tried several times and could not get this product to stay up. I received this product free for my honest review, and I'm glad I didn't spend money on it because I would be requesting a refund as (at least the one I received) is unusable. As a side note, shipping was very slow, I ordered on the 18th and got it on the 27th. I was really hoping this would be a good product as I love the design and have several areas of my home I would use these on. Having read other reviews this is an issue only I experienced and may not be how they work for you. Due to the other reviews I would still give this product a try.

The Bright Outdoors

This is a simple yet effective lantern. When closed it's roughly 2 inches thick and when extended its about triple that. It can be used as a flash light or a lantern and is perfect for my emergency kit. Super light weight, and rather bright. It has 3 light settings- Low Solid Light, High Solid Light, and High Flashing light. Picture shows the brightest solid setting indoors. It comes new with the light and usb charging cable. The cool part is that it's also chargeable by solar power. The lantern is pretty hard to pull open - there is no latches or anything you just pull it open, when done you just push it closed. It closes rather well - similar products have a hard time closing right and you get bumps in the accordion part. Product states that the battery last 10 hours. During my testing it stayed on for 6 hours, I recharged it via USB and it stayed on that time for 8.25 hours. This could be an issue strictly with the battery I received. Over all its great as an emergency kit item but I would not use it as my only light source while camping. (However it would be great as a personal light while camping/outdoors). I'm in the middle of a weight loss journey and have finally gotten to a size that I feel comfortable wearing yoga pants (Go me!) I have found that there's 1 problem with yoga pants that I didn't even consider when purchasing them to work out in- Where am I going to put all my stuff? Magnetic Screen Door

Having 3 dogs means I'm constantly opening and closing my sliding door. Most the time I just leave it open so they can come and go as they please- the problem with that is that (especially this time of year- spring) my house quickly gets filled with bugs of all shapes and sizes. Who wants to be sitting on their couch watching their favorite show while flies buzz around the room and you get bit up by mosquitos? I sure don't! The #ApalusScreenDoor has solved this problem! A Guide to Becoming a Product Tester/ Reviewer & Website Info

Reader(s) be warned- I love to write and tend to go off on subjects I enjoy. I am sorry at the length of this post but I promise everything in this blog is worth reading. I have spent a lot of time trying out several sites and here’s what I’ve learned so far on this journey: (if you don’t want to read all of this just skip down to the spreadsheet)

While looking at stuff on Amazon I read a review that said “I received this free for my honest review” and I thought to myself – NO WAY! I love to write and I love free stuff even more, I’ve got to figure out how to do that!

So I started looking into how to do reviews in exchange for free stuff, and found there’s tons of websites out there that promise just that. After trying out many of them I’ve come to find that some of them are great, and some of them are total crap.

Every review site gives you a promotional “code” that you use during your check out process on Amazon.com or the companies website. Be aware that not all items are free and no site offers free shipping (if you don’t have amazon prime you will have to pay for shipping). I strongly recommend if you are going to get into reviewing that you purchase Amazon Prime. It cost $99 a year or around $10 a month. With Prime you get free 2 day shipping on all Prime purchases, and other perks such as Prime Music, Video and Photo Storage, etc.

Not all items are free. Be sure when you are checking out am item to review that you pay attention to the price. While many items are free there are also many items that are discounted. These items start at $0.01 and can go up from there. Stay tuned to my blog for a list of websites that allow you to earn amazon gift cards. At this point I am using code sites to review products and gift card sites to pay for any costs for items I review- this is making the items totally free for me. (* most gift cards sites you do surveys, play online games/ apps, or watch videos to earn points. You then trade those points for gift cards)

There are three types of review sites and within those three types each website is a little different

1- Apply for campaign – These sites allow you to browse/ search for items, and you “apply” for the items you want to review. Most of the sites simple ask that you review it on amazon or the products websites, while others also require posting to your social media/ blogs. Some of these sites limit the amount of items you can apply for/ purchase at a time.

* Some companies that use this style want you to confirm you have purchased the item by sending them your order number- its a good practice to send all companies a thank you for approving me/ here's my order number email after purchasing the item.

2- Automatic Code- These sites give you a code right away, you can purchase the item on amazon (or company’s website) immediately. The down side is most of these sites will only let you receive 1 code.

3- Sign up and receive email offers

All codes are offered in exchange for your review and its very important to be honest and fair. If you have a major issue with the product try contacting the seller before posting a bad review, Most of them will work with you to ensure you are happy with the product and will leave a good review. ALL reviews must state that you received the product for free/ discounted rate for your honest and unbiased review. Failing to include that can result in having your amazon account and/or account on the code site blocked. All reviews are to be made in a timely fashion- some sites allow you to pick the amount of time you have to do the review, others set the time for you. Typically I try to post a review within 5 days of receiving an item. Depending on how many sites you use and how many items you apply for, the products will start to pile up and you could get behind on your reviews. While not all sites ask you to review on your social media all companies/ sellers appreciate you sharing their products.

Lastly, know that you won’t get approved for everything you apply for. The more you review the more you’ll get approved for. I would recommend starting with sites that give automatic codes to build your amazon review. Almost all sites require you to supply them with your amazon profile. If you have made purchases in the past and not reviewed those items, you can go into reviews and write simple ones for each item. Doing both of these will help build your profile and ensure you get the most approvals possible. I started doing this on April 4^th 2016 and got my first approval on the 6^th. I started with only getting 1 item every few days. However, I was able to build my profile up rather quickly and am now receiving around 10 items in the mail every day. Companies started requesting that I review their products around the 3^rd week and now (the 22^nd) I get multiple emails daily for review request.

So here’s a run down of the good, the bag, and the just plain ugly. These are my personal and honest opinion of these sites. These are in no specific order. I will however say that tomoson.com was the first site I started using and is still at this point my favorite.

I’d like to add some tips that I’ve learned over the last few weeks…

1- Get and stay organized- for me its a spread sheet **INSERT SAMPLE – if that doesn’t work for you find your own way. You don’t want to miss a review deadline, it’ll will make it so you get less products

2- Prepare to spend some time on searching, testing, and reviewing products. Each product takes me roughly 45 minutes. Applying, Getting Approved, Ordering, Testing, Picture/ Picture Editing, Writing Review, Posting Reviews to Needed Websites. It all takes time.

3- Order items you’ll use- I have a nice big box in my closet now of stuff that I don’t even want- I plan to sell the items but that adds even more time to the process. That being said if your trying to build your profile (like I am right now) order everything and get yourself a “to sell box”. Trust me, you’ll have PLENTY of boxes to pick from. Don’t spend money on items you don’t want. Some items do cost money- if I pay I keep.

4- Consider all the packaging and trash that piles up. When you apply a coupon code on Amazon, you can only use 1 code per purchase. That means that most of the time each item comes in its OWN PACKAGE. Boxes, Envelopes, and Bubble Wrap EVERYWHERE!!!!

5- Don’t be afraid to contact the seller or post a bad review. They are looking for your HONEST review – if you had a bad experience with the product and/or seller POST IT. When this happens I try to say something like “this is MY experience with this product/seller and I have read reviews of others who had a great experience”

6- Check your email often if your looking for email deals- they are mass emails and the deals go FAST. All companies only let a certain number of codes be used and therefore if your not fast- you probably won’t get to use a code.

7- Stay in contact with the seller/ company. They want to know what you think- that’s why they are looking for product testers/ reviewers.

8- This is so much better then window shopping! Window shopping is so fun, getting to see whats out there- the better part- you actually get the product most of the time- for free or very cheap.

9- Get to know your mail/ delivery person. They’ll be coming by a lot, you might as well have a good relationship with them. On top of that you have to test the products to review them- if they deliver it to the wrong place you can’t test it. You still are responsible for writing a review.

10- Enjoy. I do this for FUN. I love to write and I love free stuff so this is a really enjoyable hobby for me. If you don’t like to write this isn’t the hobby for you. You’re going to be spending a lot of time writing! A LOT OF TIME WRITING!
