I have been on a weight loss journey now for almost a year, and I have to say that when I started steamed veggies were the enemy. I couldn't stand them... my opinion has vastly changed, and now I can't get enough of them. There's nothing better then some steamed broccoli or carrots! This silicone steamer is so much easier to use then the handleless metal thing I've been using. I am able to put it into any size pan because the silicone molds itself to the right size (bends). I love that because I am able to use (and therefore wash) a smaller pan. Its also dishwasher safe so instead of trying to scrub at the tiny wholes, I just pop it in the dishwasher and it comes out clean and ready for its next use. Another great thing is the handle doesn't get hot- I am able to lift my veggies right out of the pan safely. At 8 inches it perfectly fits 1 large head of broccoli or 2 small. Silicone oven mitts have come a long way since I first tried them. Unlike the older models, these actually protect your hands from heat. I was able to grab a pan of boiling water that was on the stove, with the burner on the highest setting with these without feeling any heat. I adore the red, it matches my kitchen decor (and other utensils) perfectly! I received this item free for my honest review, however getting this discount in no way effected my opinion of the product.
