I recently broke my foot and sprained my ankle, and was given an ankle brace and crutches by my doctor. However I found needed back ups for when I shower, or after being active. This Ankle Support Brace is a good back up. I would have given it 5 stars but the whole for my heel is extremely small and digs into my foot pretty bad. I have small feet (women size 6.5) and the swelling has completely gone down but it is still very tight on me. The breathable fabric make it perfect for showering with it on as it still allows the water to clean my foot/ankle while being able to dry out quickly. The brace has a multiple strap system, one that goes around your ankle, one around the top of the foot and two that go around and secure it into place, I put them on the side on my ankle for extra support. I purchased this item at a discounted rate for my honest review, however getting this discount in no way effected my opinion of the product.
